Our Story

Realm Restaurant Group is the culinary vision of restaurateur Sharon Carole and Executive Chef Christopher Covelli. Based in downtown Sarasota, the group operates two beloved dining destinations—Sage and Bijou Garden Café—both located in meticulously restored historic buildings that celebrate the architectural and cultural heritage of the city.

Currently undergoing a major renovation, Bijou Garden Café is being thoughtfully reimagined to reflect the next chapter of its storied legacy.

Driven by a mission to create exceptional dining experiences rooted in quality, creativity, and community, Realm Restaurant Group is also expanding with a third venue inside the historic Warren Building at 1269 First Street. Built in 1926 in the Mediterranean Revival style, the Warren Building originally housed the real estate office of Clark Warren, with his family home directly behind it. Its restoration will honor Sarasota’s past while introducing an exciting new concept to the city’s culinary landscape.

Located at 1216 First Street, Sage Restaurant brings a unique international culinary experience to its downtown location. Guests are treated to worldly cuisine with carefully curated and inspired cocktails. Sage’s menu is seasonally influenced by ingredients and cooking styles from around the world. Award-winning Executive Chef Christopher Covelli’s culinary career spans seven different countries, and he brings authenticity to every dish, creating the ultimate culinary experience for guests. His approach to the menu is similar to the building itself, with a strong sense of place and romance that makes a warm and inviting ambiance with rich character and attention to every detail.
